STANDARD SIZES

If you are really in a hurry, and most off the rack shirts fit you fine, you can opt for a standard size. If you can spare 10 minutes, we do encourage customers to measure up, however if you really aren’t fussy, standard sizes are available.

As a wearer of shirts, you would understand that there is no universal size in men’s shirts, as some brands have a slimmer fit than others. We have based our standard size on some well known off-the-rack brands. To ensure you know what you are getting you can check our Standard Size Measurement Table:

Standard size shirts are not covered by our perfect fit guarantee. It is up to you to check out sizing tables and determine if the shirt is the right fit for you.

Shirt Sleeve Length
(Difference Between Standard Size & Made-To-Measure)

Universal standard sizes measure sleeve length from the middle of the back. For made-to-measure (tailor made) we measure the sleeve length from the corner point where the sleeve meets the shoulder.

Shoulder Type

We use this information to determine if an allowance is needed for sloping shoulders. If you are not sure which one you are, it does not matter.

Standard Size Collar

The collar size is the distance between the center of the button to edge of the buttonhole (per diagram below). However some brands do not adhere to this, and will make the collar larger or smaller than what is actually marked on the shirt. So we cannot assume that the size marked on the shirt is accurate and we measure the collar to make sure it is correct.

Stomach Vs Waist

We formally referred to this measurement as the Waist measurement. However many customers confused this with their pants waist size which is very different. The measurement refers to the circumference around the stomach line. Therefore we now refer to this measurement as the Stomach measurement.
